Chapter 13: Queen's Love.
The Queen smiled slowly, gazing out at her beautiful garden. The royal oasis comprised of stunning old trees, organized in an elaborate pattern, created a feeling of peace and harmony. Some trees had Spanish moss draping down the branches, which only added a touch of magic to its overall feel. The lady like tulips intertwined with the daffodils, daisies, and gerberas planted neatly and carefully by the royal Gardner. It was a sanctuary that provided much needed healing to the most important human on Earth, Queen Alexandrina.
- "There you are my love! I have been looking all over for you darling." Mateo interrupted the Queen's thought pattern as he called out to the Queen from the Grand Balcony. "Don't move! I am coming to you my Queen!" Alexandrina slowly turned her head and watched him as he descended the long stairs and made his way down the Lono path as it was known. Each path in the royal garden had a name usually associated with a deity worshiped by native people. The Queen was a known supporter of the native people from all over the planet, but in particular the Pacific Northwest. |
Mateo hasn't seen Alexandrina since she returned from her mysterious Earth travel. As he walked down the Lono path, Alexandrina watched him closely. He walked confidently, with a leisurely pace, smiling. His eyes lit up with every step he took. His hair messy and his shirt buttoned only half way. His energy was bright and optimistic. His left hand was in his pocket and his right hand held a single flower, the Juliet rose, one of Queen's favorites flowers. She smiled. One of the reasons the Queen liked Mateo, was for the attention he provided her through small gestures.

He was charming, attractive, attentive and loving. His was unwaveringly loyal and supportive, like a family member would be. He captivated her with gripping stories of defeating the stormeaters in one of the bloodiest battles humans have ever experienced all the while praising the Queen's bravery and leadership throughout the interplanetary war. She liked compliments, especially from her Generals, which he knew. He was acutely aware of her desires and dislikes, and focused on providing her with nothing but pleasure. He enjoyed it.
